7-28-25 – Captain’s Log: Talk about a one-man show… today, in preparation for turning Neckbeard the Awesome Pirate into an audiobook, I’m producing it myself. Starting the primary recordings as of today. Having already produced and narrated three other audiobooks–for a different author–I can think of no one better suited to the task of bringing Rob Morgan to life.

It is a long process recording what will be a roughly twelve hour audiobook. I can expect to put in at the very least 40-50 hours of actual recording time before the REAL work begins–editing. Behind the scenes, many weeks of work are put into the editing process, refining the timing, spacing, and quality of the finished product, taking out long pauses, extra breaths, and mastering the audio– all to make sure the finished product stands up to industry-quality standards.

I’m hoping I can get it finished my mid-to-late Fall. Wish me luck!
